With the huge fluctuation in temperatures we're seeing due to climate change, my imagination runs wild wondering how different regions of the world will look in the future as flora and fauna are forced to adapt to this new reality. How will landscapes change over time?  What new plant and animal species might appear? For example, "Pizzly Bears," or polar bear/grizzly hybrids, have already begun appearing since 2006 as they each have been migrating to new areas in search of food.  Nature is resilient, and very opportunistic.   

In this painting, a polar bear rests under purple lilies while incredibly beautiful Spatuletail Hummingbirds from Peru shimmer in the brilliant Arctic moonlight, adding a touch of whimsy and elegance.  Likewise, the "M" pattern composition is a subtle nod to the timeless mystery, beauty and wonder of Mother Nature.
